August Fantasy - PTU

 

This tutorial was written by me on September 7, 2009. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is strictly coincidental. I am using PSP X2 though it should work in other versions. You should have basic knowledge of the program.

Supplies Needed:
--- Scrap kit is August Fantasy by Gothic Inspirations
--- Template 153 by Ali here
--- Tube of choice. I am using the art of Nene Thomas
--- WSL Mask 12 here
--- Font of choice.
Plugins:
--- Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Lets Begin! Remember to save often!
** Add drop shadow of choice to elements as you go along

Open template. Press Shift+D to duplicate. Close out original.
Delete copyright layer. Resize all layers 70%. Increase canvas size to 600x450 pixels.

Open paper 13. Activate raster2. Go to your materials palette and click on the foreground color. Then click on pattern. Find your paper in the drop down list. You can play around with the angle and scale to get desired effect. I used angle-0 & scale-100.  Flood fill the rectangle.

Repeat for the rest of the template layers, using papers of your choice.
Do not do this for the circle frame (Raster 7)

Activate raster 7. Select all-float-defloat (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+f, Ctrl+Shift+F). Paste paper of choice as new layer. Selections-Invert-Hit delete on your keyboard. Select-none. Delete original template layer.

Paste frame glitter as new layer, resize 65% and position over circle.

Paste heart bling 2, resize 15%. Duplicate a few times and put in random positions throughout the tag.

Paste flower2, resize 20%, duplicate a few times and position where you like.
Do the same for flower 1 resizing 15%.

Paste dragonfly of choice, resize 15%, position left side. Duplicate. Image-mirror. Resize 80%, free rotate 15, position bottom right.

Paste tube as new layer, resize as needed.

Paste design2, resize 85%, Layers-Arrange-send to bottom.
Paste leaves of choice, resize 25%, position left side. Duplicate. Image-Mirror. Move to the left next to the rectangles.

Paste design4, resize 70%, position top right side. Duplicate. Image-flip.

Open mask and minimize.
Paste paper 14 as new layer, send to bottom. Layers-New mask-From image. Find mask in drop down list, source luminance checked. Merge group. Resize 125%. Duplicate.

Crop and resize as you see fit.
Add name, copyright info, watermark, etc. Save as png for transparent background.

And that’s it!

Broken - PTU

Supplies Needed:
--- Scrap kit is Dr. Evil by Gothic Inspirations
--- Tube of choice. I am using the art of Anne Stokes
--- Font of choice.
Plugins:
--- Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Lets Begin! Remember to save often!
** Add drop shadow of choice to elements as you go along

Open a new image 600x600.

Paste glitter of choice. Move so it just about touches the right edge of your canvas. Duplicate. Image-mirror.

Paste Frame Cluster as new layer. Click inside the openings of the frame on the left and right with magic wand. Selections-Modify-Expand by 8. Paste paper 21 as new layer. Selections-invert-hit delete on your keyboard. Select-none. Move frame above paper in layer palette.
Click inside the main frame with magic wand. Selections-Modify-Expand by 8. Paste paper 10 as new layer. Selections-invert-hit delete on your keyboard. Do not deselect. Paste tube as new layer, resize as needed and position in frame. Hit delete. Select-none. Move frame above paper & tube in layer palette.

Activate your tube layer. Go to Effects-Photo effects-Sepia toning with amount to age 20. Duplicate tube. On the top tube, Adjust-Blur-Gaussian blur 3. Change the blend mode to soft light. On bottom tube change opacity to 50. Drop shadow bottom tube.

Paste ribbon wire 1, resize 20%, rotate right 20, position top right of frame.

Paste second tube as new layer, resize as needed, position right side of frame.

Paste wordart of choice. Resize as needed, position bottom. Apply Gradient Glow with settings: width-3, corners-25, opacity-100. Click on the color tab and check medium.

Paste blackbird, resize 25%, position top left of wordart. Apply same Gradient glow.
Paste heart of choice, resize as needed, free rotate right 10, position bottom right of frame.
Paste charm heart, resize 35%, position top left of frame.
Paste jewel flower, resize 20%, position overtop charm.

Paste rose melting, resize 30%, position left of frame. Duplicate. Move to the top of the frame and under it in layer palette. Duplicate. Position towards the bottom right of the frame.

Paste Leaves2, resize 60%, position towards the bottom right of tag. Duplicate. Image-mirror.  Merge-down. Move just above glitter in layer palette. Duplicate. Image-flip. Merge-down. Duplicate. Rotate right 90, resize 95%.

Crop and resize as you see fit.
Add name, copyright info, watermark, etc. Save as png for transparent background.

And that’s it!

Grrrr I went over my bandwidth for this month so my blogs look a mess right now =(.
